Having never had a headset before, I have nothing to compare to. It is very comfortable, no matter how long you play. However, I am pleased with the performance of this model. I like how it hangs on my ear. Sound quality seems fine. Would recommend to others.
That said, the mic does tend to be fairly sensitive, so if there is a lot of background noise in your area, it may be transmitted through the headset. Sound quality is good, it's fairly comfortable if you like this type of headset, and as I said, it is reliable and durable. I've been using the same headset for about 3 years now and it has never let me down. The mute switch and volume control work just like any other basic Xbox Live headset, and they do their job. Although the mic is not a boom-style mic (with the black padding around the mic) it still picks up voice clearly and without much interference. I have never once gotten a complaint about my voice being hard to understand due to the mic. I give this product 4 stars because while this is a good set that will last the life of your Xbox, there are similar products for less money out there, so do your research. You can rest assured however that this headset won't die anytime soon.
My two kids (13 and 11 years old) each got one of these for Christmas. They have used them for three days now and both give me thumbs up on them. They are addicted to Modern 'Welfare' 2. Since I don't play Xbox 360 online this is as good a review as I can give.
theyre now the only headsets i can use. I love it. its my 3rd one of this kind (as my others stopped working). its like a wireless headset. but with a wire =P
I had no problem adjusting the volume or muting my mic when needed. It is extremely light and fits my ear well. This is by far the best headset I have owned. You still have to lose a hand to control it.
The comfort is amazing. I have owned a few different headsets for my 360 including the wireless headset, the standard headset and a Turtle X41 (which I still use when I need to be quiet). I have heard of problems with the location of the volume/mute button, but honestly it is in the same position as the other wired headsets. Plantronics makes bluetooth headsets for my phone and I have to say the quality and price point for those is the same. I honestly can not tell that it is on.
If you have to mute or turn the volume up/down it doesn't matter where it is. I love this product and the company. The price point is great for those who don't want to spend enormous amounts of money for a headset. The other players could hear me just fine after adjusting the boom for my face. There was no irritation after a couple hours of wear like with other headsets.
The volume from other players is perfect and clear. Overall, I would recommend this for anyone playing on live. Keep up the good work.
